was clear that the work needed was going to be far greater than any of us could have imagined.  Estimates of the work have ranged from my original

'guesstimate' of circa £25 to the restorer's £30/£35 and now looking at a final outcome of some £60k.  I have gone as far as I can in using up all my capital - just over £30k.  This has restored the bodywork to wonderful, pristine condition and the chassis itself cleaned and repainted (with only a

very minor repair required).
